A Book, A Mastermind, Some Hikes, and LOTS OF FOOD!

In April I released the bestselling book The Power of Pivoting - How to Embrace Change and Create a Life You Love. The book has turned into a mastermind, a retreat, and so much more! We also started the podcast Stumblin’ Forward and Steve and I started a local food show Denver Diner Duo. It’s been an exciting few months!

The Power of Pivoting - How to Embrace Change and Create a Life You Love

The Power of Pivoting - How to Embrace Change and Create a Life you Love was a book that I never planned on writing. I always had it in the back of my mind that maybe someday I would write about my journey but I just thought “How can I write a book when I’m still in the middle of the story” But then I realized that my middle might be someone else’s beginning.

I Quit! Leap of Faith Time...

I quit my job. What an odd thing to say. And an even odder thing to do! Especially when I've barely started making money with the show after 3 1/2 years of an uphill climb. But do you ever hear a voice and get a gut feeling that you just can't explain but KNOW in the core of your being you have to listen to. I have before and I've reasoned myself out of it and let's just say it never ended well when I ignored that voice. So when I got the nudge a few months ago I pushed it away.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times - 2016 Reflection

One year ago I never would have imagined that the future I was planning would never come to pass and that all of my plans would blow up in my face...and I would be eternally grateful for that! I never could have seen that what should have been a terrible thing, turned into so many blessings! That I would finally see how strong I am, realize the amazing people in my life, and find a faith that had been there all along but now I truly understood.

32 Things I Learned While 32

32 was pretty big! I started my show, ran a marathon, and traveled all around America. And it's not just this year...it's been a long learning process over the years and I'm still a mess trying to figure it all out (as we all are). I know there are so many things I still need to work on and each one of these points above I struggle with at different times. I tend to learn through trial and error and making mistakes two or three times before I figure out the answer.

Humanity is Not Dead

Yesterday was the most inspiring and emotionally fulfilling day I've ever had. I witnessed the most beautiful acts of humanity and even though the world can seem like a dark, heartless, and scary place right now, I felt the need to let you know, we're still ok.

The A-Z's of Marathon Training (That I Learned the Hard Way)

I am no expert on marathons. In fact, I've never run one before. Still reading? I ran my first half marathon last year and finally saw myself as a runner...and then didn't run again for 7 months! But for Team World Vision I have signed up for the full 26.2 L.A. Marathon this year. The training process has been brutal. I've learned a lot during this process (mostly what NOT to do) and here are the A-Z's of marathon training...from a beginner’s point of view.
